‘Within Africa’: GBC’s Program for African Progress

Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), a member of the African Union Broadcasters Association (AUB), is set to launch an informative program called ‘Within Africa.’ Hosted by the talented Maltiti Sayida Sadick, who is also a co-host on GTV’s Breakfast Show, the show aims to bring stories from across the continent that highlight Africa’s progress. By engaging experts at the forefront of these developments, ‘Within Africa’ will provide viewers with valuable insights and knowledge to make informed decisions about the growth of their countries and the continent at large. The program will air for 30 minutes on all of GBC’s channels every Tuesday and Friday from 4:05 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. GMT.

Maltiti Sayida Sadick, a 29-year-old award-winning journalist, TV, and radio presenter, is the esteemed host of ‘Within Africa.’ With over five years of experience in broadcast media, Maltiti has made a name for herself in the industry. Her journey began with her participation in GHOne TV’s reality show, The Next TV Star, where she achieved the remarkable feat of securing the first runner-up position.

Notably, she is also a 2021 Mandela Washington Fellow. Passionate about championing the rights and equal opportunities of minority groups, especially women, Maltiti aims to challenge gender stereotypes. She established the ‘Maltiti Care International’ (MCI) foundation, which focuses on identifying and assisting women in rural Northern Ghana who have developed health conditions such as fistula during childbirth.

Through MCI, Maltiti seeks to raise awareness, facilitate access to free reconstructive surgeries, and empower these women by raising funds. Maltiti’s dedication to her craft extends to her love for travel and rural news reporting. Her commitment to serving her community is evident through her National Service with GBC’s Radio Savannah in Tamale, Northern Region.
